Crawling brings...

Vince ate dog food today. Guess that's what happens when they start to crawl!!!

The dog bowl has a new place now---up on the counter top unless Vince is asleep ;)

pics...

Here are some pics of the pool. Jack and Vince really like the bubblers on the tanning ledge. We still have to landscape around the pool, but in the meantime we will be swimming.
This pic of Vince was taken today at a play date. Doesn't really look like him. He looks too grown up!

Vince is crawling!!

Vince has been trying to crawl for a while and today he has made major improvements! He just crawled over to me from 10 feet away, then proceeded to pull himself up onto the edge of the couch! He had his 9 month appointment on Monday and he is doing exceptionally well. The doctor was very impressed. We hope to stay on track with all of our developmental milestones.

We had a great Father's Day weekend with my parents and Jen, Winn and Jack. We all swam in the pool and had a BBQ. Vince loves the pool! He likes to splash around in the water and play with the fountains. I will try to get some pics of him in the pool and post them soon.

I will update more with photos soon!

Back From St. Louis

We had a great time visiting Grammy VB in St. Louis. Vince went to the St. Louis Zoo and saw a few snakes and lizards and a couple of chimps and then fell asleep!! Too little for the zoo right now I think :)

At Gram's house we discovered Vince is a master pianist in the making. He loves to sit at the piano and play. He would hit the keys and sit there and think for a minute and then do it again. He will most likely be taking lessons when he is older. He had a good time playing with all of the toys Gram got him too.

We also went to the St. Louis Children's Hospital to visit his cousin, Rylee. She is so tiny but so strong! Hang in there little one!

While we were at the hospitals gardens, Mark was holding Vince and he started to get the stranger anxiety complex and reached out to me crying and said "Mama!" Not the way I pictured him to say my name, but he said it nonetheless.

Laura, Vince's much older and wiser (ha ha!) cousin, graduated from high school so we went to Illinois for that. We had a nice party at Uncle Mark's place then went to the graduation and out to dinner.

When we got home from our trip, Vince was very fussy and cried a lot. So on Saturday I took him to the urgent care place and it turns out he has a double ear infection! Poor little guy. So now he is on antibiotics (again!) and I think he is feeling a little bit better already. He was a great traveler though and adapted to all the situations quite well.
